Table of Contents

At $2,897 with a carbon frame and 1000W motor, the Nireeka Revenant 1000 caught our attention.

But specs mean nothing until rubber hits dirt.

We tested this e-MTB on our home trails – from technical root sections to flowing singletrack.

It's no enduro race machine, but for riders looking to add some watts to their trail rides without dropping $6K+, there's some interesting potential here.

Let's get into the ride experience and see where this bike truly shines (and where it doesn't).

Our Verdict

4/5

After putting the Nireeka Revenant 1000 through its paces, it scores a solid 4/5.

Priced at $2,897, this bike is perfect for those who crave a reliable ride without stepping into premium territory just yet.

With its powerful 1000W motor, impressive battery life, and playful suspension, it glides effortlessly over light trails and powers up climbs like a champ.

Sure, it’s not the lightest ride in the pack, and that long recharge time can feel like waiting for your buddies at the trailhead. But if you're ready to tackle the trails with style and flair, the Revenant is your ticket to adventure.

Nireeka Revenant 1000 Review

At $2,897, the Nireeka Revenant 1000 presents itself as a solid investment for those craving performance and style. If the score was purely based on its beastly yet beautiful aesthetics, it would already be worth every penny.

But the real value lies beneath the surface—what's inside really matters.

While the Revenant isn’t an entry-level bike, it’s $402 less than the Nireeka Mega, which offers a more powerful 1,500W motor and reaches speeds of up to 60 km/h, but comes at a premium. The Revenant is about 3 kg lighter but the Mega may have a slight edge when it comes to raw power.

However, standing back, the differences aren’t leaps and bounds, and both bikes share the same battery and range.

Ultimately, the choice comes down to preference: whether you value slightly more power with the Mega or the balanced performance and playful design of the Revenant 1000.

With its reliable components, engaging ride quality, and eye-catching looks, this bike is a great buy for those looking to make every trail ride memorable.

Weight/Frame

Nireeka Revenant 1000 frame

The UD Prepreg Carbon Fiber frame of the Nireeka Revenant 1000 embraces its 61.7 lbs (28 kg) with a sense of purpose, lending an unmatched stability you feel the moment your feet hit the pedals.

The geometry pulls you into a confident, aggressive position that encourages you to lean slightly forward—perfect for attacking trails without feeling uncomfortable.

Despite its weight, it’s anything but a drag; the bike eagerly responds when you lean into turns or charge over rocky paths. The deliberate design keeps your weight evenly distributed, marrying comfort with control.

Battery Life

Nireeka Revenant 1000 battery

The 840Wh battery powering the Nireeka Revenant 1000 is your dependable ally, offering up to 50 miles (80 km) on a single charge, perfect for those epic, trail-blazing days.

We tested its limits across steep climbs and open stretches, and it never wavered, delivering that extra kick just when fatigue set in.

But here’s a heads-up: if you’re going full throttle, be prepared to drain that battery faster.

The great part about this setup is that once your battery dips below about 20%, the top speed on throttle-only mode automatically reduces, allowing you to keep moving without the risk of cutting out completely.

Just keep in mind, if you’ve pushed it to the brink, you’ll need to recharge overnight—it takes about 10.5 hours to fully juice up.

So, plan ahead if you’re itching for an early morning ride and want to be ready to hit the trails again!

Motor Performance

Nireeka Revenant 1000 motor

The Nireeka Revenant 1000 roars to life with its 1000W Bafang hub motor, delivering a heart-pounding 85 Nm of torque and a top speed of 35 mph (56 km/h).

On flat terrain, this beast comes alive, gliding effortlessly with the throttle, allowing for a rush of wind that brings sheer exhilaration. When facing slight inclines, the motor truly shines, powering upward effortlessly.

However, things shifted when the gradient steepened. Throttle-only attempts on sharper hills proved to be a bit taxing; while the motor kept pushing, it didn't quite deliver that same top speed.

Instead, it required some pedal power to maintain momentum, reminding us that even the best motors appreciate a little teamwork on the tougher climbs.

Display and Controls

Nireeka Revenant 1000 display

The Nireeka Revenant 1000 features a straightforward LCD display that offers all the essential metrics—speed, battery level, and distance—right at your fingertips.

The controls are intuitive and user-friendly, making it a breeze to switch power levels and access settings without breaking a sweat.

For those who crave more advanced features, there’s an option to upgrade, but honestly, this setup suffices for the everyday rider who wants to focus on the ride without unnecessary distractions.

Suspension System

Nireeka Revenant 1000 rear suspension
Nireeka Revenant 1000 front suspension

The Nireeka Revenant 1000's suspension system truly shines as a fantastic feature tailor-made for this ride.

With a custom aluminum air fork delivering 160mm of travel up front and a Rockshox Deluxe Select rear shock boasting 140mm, it’s built to absorb the little bumps and jostles of light to moderate trails—this bike wasn't designed for heart-wrenching leaps or extreme off-roading, but it handles light bumpy paths like a pro.

Our experience revealed just how well the suspension worked together, soaking up the rough stuff and keeping the ride smooth and controlled.

While the option to lock the suspension is available for those who prefer reduced playfulness on flatter terrain, we didn’t feel the need to test it—we were having too much fun enjoying that playful ride.

Wheels/Tires

Nireeka Revenant 1000 tires

The Nireeka Revenant 1000 rolls on robust 27.5-inch wheels, outfitted with Kenda Havoc tires—2.8″ up front and a wider 3″ at the rear.

It's clear this bike wasn't designed for extreme sports; rather, it's equipped with a reliable set that handles slightly beaten trails with ease.

These tires offer excellent traction and stability, allowing us to tackle rocky paths without hesitation.

The wider rear tire enhances control, giving an added sense of confidence as we powered through turns and absorbed bumpy sections. It really plays a crucial role in maintaining grip, especially on uneven surfaces, ensuring every ride feels smooth and responsive.

This combination of tires makes for an enjoyable adventure, elevating the overall riding experience while keeping it engaging without veering into the realm of extreme off-roading.

Braking System

Nireeka Revenant 1000 brake 2

The Nireeka Revenant 1000 boasts hydraulic disc brakes that deliver impressive stopping power, perfect for confident trail riding.

With 180mm rotors at the front and rear, a light tug on the Sram Level brakes instantly brings the bike to a reliable stop—no hesitation, just control.

Sure, if you’re bombing down gnarly drop-offs, you might wish for ABS brakes to avoid careening over the handlebars. But for our adventures on slightly rugged terrain, these brakes performed flawlessly, providing the assurance needed to tackle tight corners and steep descents with ease.

The ergonomic lever placement makes for quick access, allowing every ride to feel secure and exhilarating. It’s a braking setup that complements the bike’s overall performance, letting you push limits while staying grounded.

Drivetrain

Nireeka Revenant 1000 drivetrain

The Nireeka Revenant 1000 comes equipped with a solid Sram X5 9-speed drivetrain that fits the bike well, especially at this price point. Sure, it could be more advanced, but it does the job effectively—particularly when you're tackling gradients and playing around with the gears.

We found that with a little skill, it’s easy to power up inclines with smooth, quick shifts that keep momentum rolling.

The drivetrain is designed to work in harmony with the rear hub motor, meaning it primarily deals with pedal force, allowing chains and sprockets to last longer.

If you've got the know-how, you'll feel confident tackling any climb without skipping gears.
